What is the SPOT infrared thermometer?
SPOT is a new range of innovative stand-alone design, non-contact infrared thermometers with advanced integrated processing capabilities. SPOT utilises the latest technologies to make measurement more accurate and easier for the operator to use than ever before
Why is SPOT unique?
It's the combination of all of these features in one thermometer
R models use dual wavelength detectors
All processing integrated into the sensor
Simplified installation, set up and use
Multiple output formats
Reduced installation costs
Wider measurement temperature range
Temperature spans easily configured
Local and Remote configuration
Everything is built into the thermometer - no separate processor required
Powered by either 24VDC or Power-over-Ethernet
Rear Display and Controls
Target viewing, temperature reading and set-up through simple menu driven choices; no need for separate software
Integrated Web Server
Allows for remote adjustment and readings via any web browser
All processing features are integrated into SPOT. No need for any separate processor unit
Outstanding Target Alignment
The SPOT has a visual camera plus a patented* LED to make measurement alignment much simplier.
Patented* Pulsed High Brightness LED targeting
Sensor confirms the focus distance and spot size better; indicates both target size and location using an easily visible pattern; no laser safety requirements.* Patent pending.
Through-the-lens Integrated Camera
Easy target alignment and verification in low and high brightness environments
Durable Sapphire Protection Window
Resists scratches, solvents and easily cleaned with a soft cloth.
SPOT Viewer Software
The LAND Spot Viewer is a PC-based utility that allows you to connect, configure, and view data from a SPOT thermometer.
A graphical representation of the control panel on the back of the LAND SPOT thermometer. Displays temperature values and allows access to the thermometer menu system. Also allows you to take a snapshot image of the target being viewed by the thermometer.
Gives an overview of the system connections and displays error messages in the event of a fault.
A tabulated view of temperature readings in date/time order.
A graphical trace of temperature readings from the thermometer in date/time order.
Configure your SPOT locally
Straightforward thermometer configuration including choice of interfaces, integrated signal processing, and setting of all key measurement parameters.
Wide range of Interfaces - all standard
0-20 mA DC or 4-20 m A DC, Digital CMD In and CMD Out, Ethernet (TCP-IP, Modbus TCP, DHCP, http, udp, ICMP) and alarm contacts
Wide range of processing functions
Averaging, Peak/Valley Picking, Mode Master, Background Compensation
Simple, menu driven user interface
All key parameters can be configured using the user interface locally e.g. Emissivity, C or F, temperature range, Alarms, Measuring mode...
NOTE: The Web Browser can also be used to complete thermometer setup remotely.
